The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) with its regional academy networks brings together evaluation from Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe to compare scientific opportunities for delivering sustainable, healthy diets. The urgency to transform food systems is increased by the growing impacts of climate change and another recent crisis, COVID-19.
The Covid-19 pandemic, which was first reported in December 2019, has easily been the one most disruptive disease to the human social fabric this century. To date more than 176 million have contracted the disease, and more than 3.8 million have succumbed to it.
